calm

I had originally planned to post a thankful thought,

cute Pinterest quote, etc for every day in November.

Life happens and beyond Thanksgiving preparation last week,

I do not feel like working, shopping, decorating, editing, 

cleaning, cooking, blogging, and on and on.

But...

I have to do some of those things.

So I go back to the priority list -

and remember this statement below.

After I clicked publish, I saw a "God On The Mountain" 

youtube link posted on facebook - 

truly a classic song and so true.

So thankful that He is still God in the valley.

When things go wrong, He'll make them right.

The God of the good times is still God in the bad times.

The God of the day is still God in the night.

Although I know that there IS the hope of Heaven -

and that this verse below applies:

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Psalm 116:15

It still doesn't make it easy to have to say goodbye.
My heart is sad tonight.
Tear flowing sad.
A precious family member
 faces the crossing to that eternal home.

The following phrase came to my mind:
"where there'd be no sad goodbyes"
The line below is a little different in the song -
but I really don't know when goodbyes are anything but sad.

I am glad that I know of that land -
that sweet beulah land!
I am striving to make it.

So while I thought about death - the next verses came to mind:

1 Corinthians 15:54-58
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
and this mortal shall have put on immortality,
 then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
Death is swallowed up in victory. 
 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 
57 But thanks be to God, 
which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 
 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, 
always abounding in the work of the Lord, 
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 

I pray for victory through Jesus!
Even though there is grief and pain,
there is comfort for those who mourn.

 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Matthew 5:4

letting go

Casting all our cares upon Jesus - for He cares!

He is a heavy load sharer,

burden bearer,

deliverer,

comforter!

Thank you veterans!

Freedom isn't free - 

something that sinks in especially if you 

walk the paths of Arlington National Cemetery,

read the names inscribed on the memorial walls in DC,

see and hear the news stories about another soldier giving his/her all.

Ahhh - God Bless them all, such brave, courageous souls!

(And on a lighter note, God bless the veterans because

I get a bank holiday! I'm blessed!)

He listens

I am so thankful for such a great big GOD 

who loves little ole me

and hears and answers prayers.

 He's there when I need someone to talk to -

to hear my heart,

to bear my burdens.

I'm amazed that He cares!

I learned my lesson on pins from pinterest - 

have to look at the source when posting.

(the one I put for my post last Sunday had a bad word in the source

- whoops, sorry if you saw it.)

See - there is always something to be thankful for -

someone let me know about that so I could delete it!!!
