January 12
Day 3 of the Snow
Receiving a phone call to stop my early morning drive to work,
I went back and walked outside in the snow to take photos.
After two days of spending most of my time in one room,
I welcomed the chance to venture into the cold.
Come on Sun - bring on the melt! :)
Practicing with camera settings -
Ice layered over the snow, big shards cracked open under my feet.
Ice glittered leaves.
Frozen redness.
Climbing above freezing temperatures - finally!?!
Traipsing through the snow, taking in the small.
Avoid black ice - most definitely.
Shadows and Lines.
Winter wear - ready to escape from the "cabin fever."
With the snowman.
Finally off to work mid-day.
Later that evening - terrible front steps at my house.
Scared to go across the ice - not risking a slide or crash.
Walking through footsteps is the only route.
The second snow - as "my house." :)
Call me crazy, but taking photos of the snow is the best part.
And yes, we live in the South -
the public schools in our county did not have school ALL week!
I saw snow plows more this week than I have in all my life.
I think I have my fill of snow for the season,
but if God sends some more -
hopefully it will be on Saturday. :)
