spring arriving

It makes me smile to see the signs of spring -

and I found some time to take some photos just for me. :)

Though I did not want to face some of February memories,
I finally caught up with all of 2011 photos this week.

Maybe I will get around to website updates soon.

The tree we planted last year is blooming - so excited!

We definitely had a winter season in the south.
I love winter and I found quite a bit of beauty
in the super-cold weather and the big snows.
However, spring time is bringing warmth to my days.

Just as winter can be bleak and harsh -
the trials of life can get dark and depressing.
As victory comes though,
sunlight overcomes the darkness.
I feel like Job -
But he knoweth the way that I take: 
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
(Job 23:10)
Spring time is about "newness" and life -
hope and promise.
Although I pray for better things,
the greatest promise is that he'll go with me -
no matter what comes my way.

And on a lighter note -
I am watching another flower grow....
